Job overview

The Technical Operator – Packing is responsible for operating packing machines, ensuring efficient production processes, and maintaining high standards of product quality and safety.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate packing machines to ensure accurate and efficient packing of milled products
  • Carry out autonomous maintenance (AM), including basic maintenance, conversion, and machine changeovers
  • Supervise shift packing operations, assign tasks, and monitor team performance
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, GMP, and company quality procedures
  • Support quality control by verifying product weights, seals, and coding accuracy
  • Maintain accurate records of shift activities, including production reports and inventory
  • Collaborate with quality control, production, and dispatch teams to resolve operational issues

Qualifications and experience

  • Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or Process Engineering (essential)
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (desirable)
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in manufacturing or food processing
  • Strong knowledge of packing machines and processes
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and compliance requirements
