Position 1: Head of Business Operations

We are seeking a visionary Head of Business Operations to lead SmartLab’s operations, strategy, and growth. The Head of Business Operations will drive operational excellence across accelerator programs, learning platforms, and innovation projects; build strategic partnerships with corporates, development agencies, and government; and lead SmartLab’s P&L to deliver measurable community and commercial impact across Tanzania and the region.

What we need:

  • Minimum 5 years of leadership in innovation ecosystems, accelerators, or technology-driven organisations.
  • Strong B2B/B2G partnerships and stakeholder management track record.

Position 2: Head of Business; Job Seeker, Job Board & Talents Platform

We are seeking an aggressive Head of Business who will lead SmartLab’s digital learning and talent placement solution. The Head of Business will own the full growth strategy for the platform, securing B2B employer partnerships, driving B2C learner acquisition, onboarding content partners, and scaling job placement services across Africa & Beyond.

This is an entrepreneurial role for someone who thrives at the intersection of EdTech, HRTech, and business development.

What we need:

  • Minimum 3 years in EdTech, talent acquisition, learning & development, or digital platform management.
  • Proven success in launching or scaling a digital product.

AdFlow is a performance-driven AdTech platform that enables advertisers to run measurable ROI focused campaigns across programmatic, influencer, and direct channels. We are looking for a commercially driven Business Venture Manager to lead revenue growth and strategic partnerships for AdFlow, building and managing a high-quality pipeline of advertisers, agencies, and media buyers, and executing performance-led pilot campaigns and scaling a results-oriented marketplace driven by data, conversions, and measurable impact.

What we need:

  • 5–7 years in BD/sales/partnerships in AdTech, media, or performance marketing.
  • A portfolio of 6–12 past clients is mandatory.

Position 2: Business Venture Manager — Wakaly (Distribution & B2B Activation Platform)

Wakaly digitises field activation by connecting businesses to agents and freelancers for distribution, merchant onboarding, and offline activation. You will sign channel partners, FMCG brands, telcos, and retail chains for activation campaigns while scaling our agent network. This is a B2B-focused role requiring deep experience in field sales, distributor management, and channel partnerships.

What we need:

  • 3–7 years in field sales, channel partnerships, or distributor management in FMCG, telco, or distribution networks.
  • A portfolio of 5–15 active/past clients is mandatory.

Position: Business Development Manager — B2B (Content & Production Services)

Smart Studio is looking for a commercially minded Relationship Manager to grow and manage a portfolio of B2B clients across Tanzania and the region. You will serve as the primary client partner — identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities across content, production, and digital services; coordinating seamless service delivery; and ensuring client retention and satisfaction. This role demands someone who can turn client relationships into long-term business partnerships.

What we need:

What we need:

  • Minimum 5 years in business development, sales, or partnerships for enterprise technology, software, or digital transformation solutions.

Position: Business Development Manager — Hybrid Marketing & Communications

SmartCodes is hiring a results-driven Business Development Manager with a strong commercial network in the Tanzanian market, particularly across telco, FMCG, and banking sectors. You will identify, develop, and close new business opportunities for SmartCodes’ full suite of marketing and communications services, manage a healthy sales pipeline, and contribute to achieving ambitious revenue targets. This role is for a hunter who understands the agency landscape and can open doors at the decision-maker level.

What we need:

  • Minimum 5 years in B2B sales or business development within marketing, communications, or media.
