II. Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Operations & Management

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations and maintain an accurate general ledger.

• Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

• Monitor receivables, payables, and the company’s overall cash flow.

• Coordinate internal and external audit processes.

2. Industry-Specific Tasks (Mobile VAS)

• MNO Reconciliation: Handle complex revenue reconciliation from Mobile Network Operators and other partners.

• Transaction Management: Manage high-volume transaction environments and ensure accurate bank reconciliations.

• Payment Processing: Prepare and process all payments, invoices, and receipts.

3. Taxation & Compliance

• Ensure full compliance with Tanzanian tax laws and local regulatory requirements.

• Prepare and submit all statutory tax returns, including VAT, PAYE, Corporate Tax, and Withholding Tax (WHT).

4. Strategic Support

• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and detailed financial analysis.

• Provide management with data-driven financial insights and reports.

III. Candidate Requirements

1. Academic & Professional Qualifications

• Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Professional Status: CPA (T), ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification is highly preferred.

2. Experience & Skills

• Years: Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting.

• Advantage: Previous experience in Telecom, Digital Services, or the Mobile VAS industry.

• Technical Proficiency: Mastery of accounting software and advanced MS Excel skills (essential for high-volume data analysis).

3. Core Competencies

• Deep knowledge of financial reporting standards and Tanzanian tax regulations.

• High level of integrity, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
