About the Role
The After Sales Manager will lead the entire After-Sales Operations team in Tanzania. The primary goal is to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction by managing warranty processes, technical support, spare parts logistics, and team performance. This is a cross-functional leadership role that requires balancing technical excellence with high-level strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities
1. Service Management & Operations

Resolution: Ensure timely resolution of customer complaints, warranty claims, and service requests.

Turnaround Time (TAT): Monitor TAT metrics and implement process improvements to speed up repairs and replacements.

Coordination: Collaborate with technical teams and third-party providers to deliver quality maintenance.

Efficiency: Maximize the profitability and efficiency of the service department in line with business growth projections.
2. Team Leadership & Development

Supervision: Mentor and guide after-sales executives, technicians, and support staff.

Training: Conduct sessions to enhance the team’s technical troubleshooting and customer-handling skills.

Growth: Drive professional development pathways for team members.
3. Warranty & Spare Parts Coordination

Administration: Oversee warranty approvals, rejections, and precise documentation.

Inventory: Manage spare parts stock levels to ensure availability while maintaining cost efficiency.

Procurement: Liaise with stakeholders to ensure the timely arrival of necessary components.
4. Strategy, Systems & Reporting

Strategic Planning: Define and manage long-range strategic plans for the after-sales business based on global strategy.

System Design: Coordinate with tech teams to ensure software and applications meet customer service needs.

MIS & Reporting: Prepare periodic performance reports, identify operational bottlenecks, and ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Candidate Requirements
Education & Experience

Education: Degree in Engineering or a related discipline from a recognized university (Advanced degree preferred).

Experience: 8+ years of proven success in after-sales service management (Consumer Electronics, Mobile, or Renewable Energy industries).

Track Record: Demonstrated ability to meet KPIs, including Net Promoter Scores (NPS) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
