Assistant Accountant at ATCL SACCOS Ltd, Dar es Salaam – January 2026
Position: Assistant Accountant (1 Post)
About ATCL SACCOS LTD ATCL SACCOS LTD is an employee-based SACCOS established to encourage saving among members and educate them on the advantages of developing a savings behavior. The organization is committed to proper management of money through best practices aimed at improving the social and economic conditions of its members.
Purpose of the Job To initiate loan payments to ATCL SACCOS members and payments to suppliers, manage cash and account receivables, and record and maintain the Non-Current Assets Register. All tasks are to be performed as per ATCL SACCOS LTD Financial Regulations and in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.

At least 1 year of experience in accounting or finance-related work.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial records.
Duties and Responsibilities

Review monthly bank reconciliation reports for revenue and expenditure accounts.

Capture invoices, payment vouchers, and petty cash in the accounting system.

Prepare monthly expenditure reports and supporting schedules.

Update Member Control Accounts with recovery contributions from salaries.

Dispatch statutory deductions to respective recipients by due dates.

Ensure expenditures fall within approved budget limits.
-
Effect payments through Electronic Funds Transfers (EFT).
