Job Purpose
The Assistant Manager – Enterprise Systems Support is responsible for providing hands-on technical administration, support, and optimization of the organization’s Data Centre and Cloud Infrastructure environments.
This role plays a critical part in driving IT infrastructure modernization initiatives, improving platform reliability, strengthening security posture, and ensuring business continuity through best-practice architecture and operational governance.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Infrastructure & Cloud Management
- Provide end-to-end management and administration of Data Centre infrastructure, including servers, virtualization platforms, enterprise storage systems (SAN/NAS), and related peripherals.
- Support, manage, and optimize cloud infrastructure across hybrid environments, ensuring secure provisioning, protection, and performance of virtualized resources.
- Apply DevOps practices to drive automation and continuous improvement, enhancing operational efficiency, scalability, and resilience.
Monitoring, Performance & Availability
- Implement and manage infrastructure monitoring and performance tools.
- Analyze system logs and metrics to proactively identify and resolve infrastructure issues.
- Perform root cause analysis for system outages or performance degradation and ensure uptime targets are consistently met.
Security, Patching & Continuity
- Conduct infrastructure assessments and apply system patches, upgrades, firmware updates, and security fixes.
- Manage systems backup and recovery operations in line with the Bank’s business continuity and disaster recovery policies.
Vendor, Licensing & Governance
- Manage IT infrastructure-related vendor acquisition, supervision, and performance reviews.
- Oversee infrastructure system licenses, subscriptions, and renewals to ensure compliance and cost efficiency.
Support & Incident Management
- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 Incident and Problem Management support for all infrastructure-related issues.
- Ensure adherence to ITIL processes, change management procedures, and operational standards.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong expertise in Data Centre infrastructure, virtualization, and enterprise storage systems.
- Practical experience with cloud platforms in hybrid environments.
- Knowledge of DevOps concepts, automation, and infrastructure optimization.
- Experience with infrastructure monitoring, performance management, and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of backup, recovery, and business continuity planning.
- Vendor and license management capability.
- Analytical problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
