Role Purpose
To lead, operate, and maintain a smooth-running, operationally efficient branch. You will be responsible for implementing sound banking practices that conform to both internal bank policies and Bank of Tanzania (BOT) regulations, rules, and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Growth & Sales

Customer Acquisition: Actively acquire new customers while retaining and growing existing profitable relationships.

Business Development: Develop new deposit and loan business portfolios.

Strategic Planning: Translate bank-wide goals into actionable results at the branch level by providing clear direction to staff.
2. Operational Excellence & Compliance

Regulatory Adherence: Ensure all branch activities conform to BOT rules and financial institution guidelines.

Systems Management: Oversee integrated banking systems and maintain accurate, up-to-date transaction records (including inter-bank transactions).

Reporting: Prepare periodic and statutory reports for Management and, where necessary, the Board of Directors.

Efficiency: Manage branch cost-efficiency, staff productivity, and daily administrative operations.
3. Customer Experience & Community

Service Culture: Foster a superior service culture through staff coaching, guidance, and motivation.

Issue Resolution: Take ownership of customer problems, working across branches to ensure a seamless experience.

Market Visibility: Participate in community affairs to increase the bank’s visibility and identify new business opportunities.
4. Risk & Security

Control Procedures: Implement strict branch control procedures with a specific focus on financial security.

Safety: Responsible for the security and safety of the branch office in accordance with bank objectives.
