What You’ll Do
The Business Manager and Head of Strategy: CEO Office will be responsible to facilitate, manage and evaluate strategic and operational projects coordinated from the CEO’s office.
The role will drive strategic direction by delivering high-quality operational insights, business analysis, and strategic advice to the CEO.
Core Job Description
Business Manager
- Take actions in Management meetings and follow up on agreed action points
- Prepare presentations for Board meetings, senior management meetings, strategic meetings, and in-country review meetings on behalf of the CEO, based on a sound understanding of the business and business dynamics
- Through collaboration with other key relevant stakeholders, assist with the preparation of the quarterly Board pack
- Collaborate with the Finance Director to facilitate and prepare financial analysis of the different divisions and the company as a whole
- Engage with the senior management team on strategic and operational matters and follow-ups on behalf of the CEO
The Business Manager under the MD’s Office will assume other responsibilities as may be assigned by the CEO.
Head of Strategy
- Work with the CEO and EXCO to develop, communicate and implement the long-term strategy for Tanzania, in line with the Vodacom Group strategy
- Work closely with the Group Strategy team to ensure consistency and alignment to the Group strategic direction
- Support the delivery of special strategic projects for Tanzania, ensuring alignment and focus across the business
- Responsible for execution monitoring to ensure that the priority strategic initiatives are successfully delivered
- Drive the thought leadership agenda for Vodacom, with strong understanding of global technology and telco trends
- Develop a strong understanding of the global strategic priorities from Vodacom Group and Vodafone
