Advisory Board Categories

1. Private Sector

Professionals with experience in:

• Business growth and market development
• Digital transformation
• Industry expansion

2. Public Sector

Professionals with expertise in:

• National and regional development priorities
• Regulatory and digital frameworks
• Funding models
• Sector policies

3. NGO & Development Sector

Professionals with exposure to:

• Programme design and impact measurement
• Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) frameworks
• Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
• Sustainability practices

4. Startups & Investors

Professionals with experience in:

• Scaling organisations, products, or initiatives
• Fundraising and deal structuring
• Partnership development
• Startup ecosystem building
• SME & Youth Skills development in Technology and the Creative Economy

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must demonstrate:

• Business experience in at least three (3) countries, including Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, South Africa, or any Sub-Saharan African country
• Minimum 10 years of senior-level experience in leadership, policy, industry development, programme management, venture building, or organisational strategy
• Experience serving as decision-makers, regulators, investors, development partners, or founders
• Exposure to working with senior decision-makers and key stakeholders
• Experience in programme design, impact measurement, ESG, SDGs, or sustainability practices
• Strong professional networks in Tanzania or across Africa to support partnerships and investment opportunities
• Proven track record in advisory, mentorship, governance, or strategic roles
• Deep understanding of trends in technology, digital platforms, innovation ecosystems, or sector-specific developments
