Job Opportunity: Cane Payment Administrator

Job Purpose

The Cane Payment Administrator is responsible for providing administrative and accounting support related to the cane payment process, ensuring accurate and timely payments to growers while maintaining proper financial records.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Capture grower debts to KSC accurately for prompt recovery (fertilizer sales, advances, etc.).
• Ensure proper recording of all necessary grower banking details for verification and payment release.
• Respond to grower queries regarding payments as needed.
• Collaborate with the Factory team (Cane Lab) on reconciliation and payment processes (e.g., weekly reconciliation).
• Liaise with internal stakeholders on grower/payment matters.
• Engage with stakeholders regarding programme enhancements and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Maintain and manage grower master data in SAP and Cane Lab systems.
• Print and distribute remittance advice for all grower payments.
• Monitor and resolve debit balances monthly.
• Analyze outstanding claims and investigate reasons for delays.
• Prepare Payments, Instructions, Deductions, and Sessions and submit to Cane Payment Specialist for review.
• Ensure accurate and timely payments to cane growers.
• Reconcile the cane payment interface summary report to the General Ledger journal.
• Deactivate instructions for resigned growers before archiving.
• Investigate and clear new debit balances where possible.
• Assist the Cane Payment Specialist in providing information to internal and external auditors.
• Provide technical support for Cane Payments systems.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent.
• Experience: 1–2 years in a finance environment.
• Skills:
  • Good computer literacy, especially MS Excel.
  • CPA certification is an added advantage.

Terms of Service

• The successful candidate will be engaged on a Fixed Term Contract.
