Position Overview

MEKONSULT is seeking a Chief Accountant to oversee financial operations, ensure compliance, and provide strategic financial guidance to support sustainable business growth. This role is ideal for a seasoned finance professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for accuracy and integrity.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow) in compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Budgeting & Forecasting

• Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans aligned with business strategy.

Internal Controls & Compliance

• Establish and maintain robust internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure regulatory compliance.

Tax Planning & Compliance

• Oversee tax planning, filing, and statutory compliance; liaise with tax authorities and external auditors.

Cash Flow & Treasury Management

• Monitor cash flow, manage banking relationships, and optimize financial resource utilization.

Team Leadership & Development

• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team to ensure high performance and adherence to best practices.

Financial Analysis & Advisory

• Provide strategic insights and recommendations to management to support decision-making and growth.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field
• Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience in accounting or finance
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• Strong leadership and team management skills with ability to mentor and develop high-performing teams
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional collaboration and influence decision-making at senior levels
• Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills
• Exceptional time management, planning, and organizational skills
• High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail
