Client Solutions & Business Development Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic Client Solutions & Business Development Manager to act as the vital link between our ambitious clients and our technical execution team. In this role, you will serve as the “face” of our projects, ensuring that complex ESG and Net Zero strategies are translated into actionable, high-value outcomes for our partners.

This dual-track role combines client relationship management and business development, requiring you to maintain strong partnerships with existing clients while identifying and securing new business opportunities to expand our impact in the carbon and ESG landscape.


Key Responsibilities

1. Client Relationship Management & Project Coordination

Client Liaison

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, translating their business needs into technical requirements for the execution team.

Project Stewardship

  • Ensure the delivery of Net Zero and ESG strategies stays on schedule, meets quality standards, and aligns with the client’s corporate vision.

Strategic Advisory

  • Guide clients through the complexities of carbon credit procurement and ESG reporting frameworks such as GRI, TCFD, and BRSR.

Feedback & Communication

  • Conduct regular client check-ins to gather feedback and ensure satisfaction.
  • Relay technical constraints, updates, and opportunities between the execution team and the client.

2. Business Development & Growth

Lead Generation

  • Identify and engage potential clients seeking Net Zero strategies or carbon consultancy services.

Sales & Proposals

  • Lead the development of proposals, presentations, and RFP responses to secure new business.

Market Intelligence

  • Monitor global carbon market trends and ESG regulatory developments to identify opportunities for new services.

Revenue Management

  • Manage the end-to-end sales cycle, from initial outreach to contract signing.
  • Meet or exceed quarterly sales targets.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Business, Sustainability, or a related field.

Experience

  • 2–4 years of relevant experience in:
    • Managing multi-stakeholder projects
    • Business development or B2B sales
    • Sustainability, ESG, or environmental consulting sectors.

Knowledge & Expertise

Sustainability Literacy

  • Strong understanding of:
    • Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol
    • Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi)
    • Voluntary carbon markets

Core Competencies

Communication Excellence

  • Ability to present and explain complex environmental data clearly to C-suite executives and board members.

Commercial Acumen

  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to develop financial business cases for sustainability investments.
