We are currently seeking a Compliance Officer to join our team in Songwe. This role is essential in ensuring that all company operations, procurement processes, and community initiatives fully comply with Local Content and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) regulations.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

Local Content & CSR Compliance

Ensure full compliance with Local Content Regulations in procurement, contracting, and supplier engagement.
Provide expert advice on local content thresholds, reporting obligations, and regulatory interpretations.
Coordinate the preparation and submission of annual procurement forecasts in line with approved Local Content Plans.
Issue compliance opinions for procurement processes to confirm adherence to regulatory requirements.
Facilitate sole-sourcing applications to the Mining Commission with complete justification.
Oversee timely submission of quarterly and annual Local Content and CSR performance reports.
Monitor CSR projects and community engagements to ensure compliance and measurable social impact.
Conduct training and awareness sessions on Local Content, procurement compliance, and CSR obligations across departments.

🎓 Qualifications & Experience

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience:

3–5 years of experience in regulatory compliance, governance, or legal advisory.
Prior experience with Local Content and CSR frameworks is highly desirable.
Background in the mining or exploration sector is an advantage.
Familiarity with government regulators and compliance systems (e.g., LCCSR-MIS) preferred.

🧠 Knowledge & Skills

Strong understanding of Tanzanian mining legislation, especially Local Content and CSR regulations.
Proficient in compliance management systems and risk assessment processes.
Excellent communication, advisory, and report-writing abilities.
Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools.
Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills.
