Habitat for Humanity Tanzania (HFHT) is a Christian Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), registered under the NGO Act (2002) with Registration No. 00NGO/R1/00314. HFHT has been operating in Tanzania since 1986, working to ensure low-income families have access to decent, affordable, and sustainable housing.

Project Background

Habitat for Humanity Tanzania has allocated funds for the FY 2026 through the Dodoma Climate Adaptive Resilient & Empowering Homes (DoCARE) Project.

HFHT hereby invites eligible, reputable, and competent contractors, institutions, companies, CSOs, and CBOs to submit bids for the following construction works:

Tender Description

Tender for Construction of Five (5) Affordable and Decent Houses
Using Earth-Enabled Building Technology (Interlocking Blocks) for walling, in accordance with the provided Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and Drawings.

• LOT 1: Construction of Two (2) Houses

• LOT 2: Construction of Three (3) Houses
  • 2 Bedrooms

Eligibility and Required Documents

Interested bidders must submit valid and verifiable copies of the following documents:

• Valid VAT / Tax Compliance Certificate
• Valid Business License
• Proof of 3–5 similar completed works (LPOs or Contracts)
• Evidence of at least 2–3 years of operation
• Quoted prices in Tanzanian Shillings (TZS), inclusive of applicable taxes
• Certified bank statements for the last six (6) months or latest audited financial statements
• Company profile
• Registration with relevant authorities (e.g. CRB, BRELA) with a valid building license
