Role Purpose
The Country Lead: Talent & Learning is responsible for developing and executing strategies that attract, retain, and develop top talent in alignment with business objectives. The role ensures the delivery of effective talent development frameworks, learning and development programmes, and succession planning initiatives that build organizational capability.
As a strategic partner to business leaders, the role drives a culture of continuous learning, leadership development, performance excellence, and employee engagement to support sustainable business growth.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
1. Talent Acceleration and Development
- Design and implement talent development and acceleration programmes aligned with organizational and succession goals.
- Identify high-potential employees using the CCBA talent framework and develop tailored development plans.
- Partner with line managers to provide coaching, guidance, and support for performance and career development.
2. Learning and Development Management
- Conduct learning needs assessments in collaboration with key stakeholders to identify capability gaps and define learning objectives.
- Design and deploy engaging learning programmes using blended learning methodologies.
- Coordinate training logistics, materials, facilitators, and delivery schedules.
- Evaluate learning effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics, and continuously improve programmes.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to employees and managers to support skills development.
- Administer the Learning Management System (LMS), including course enrollment, tracking, reporting, and data accuracy.
- Stay current with learning and development trends, tools, and best practices.
- Collaborate with external training providers, consultants, and subject matter experts.
- Integrate Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) principles into all learning and development initiatives.
3. Performance Management
- Drive performance management processes, including goal setting, ongoing feedback, performance reviews, and calibration.
- Analyse performance data to identify trends, development needs, and improvement opportunities while ensuring data integrity.
- Promote a culture of continuous feedback, accountability, and high performance.
4. Change Management
- Enable successful adoption of business and people initiatives by developing and implementing effective training and change enablement plans.
Skills, Experience, and Education
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Master’s degree is preferred.
- Relevant professional certifications in HR, Talent Development, or Learning and Development are an added advantage.
Experience
- Eight (8) to ten (10) years of proven experience in Talent Development, Talent Acquisition, and Employer Branding, preferably in a leadership role.
- Strong expertise in performance management, career development, succession planning, and learning initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience in designing, implementing, and evaluating training and development programmes.
- Sound knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and labour regulations related to talent management and employee development.
- Hands-on experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital learning platforms.

- Demonstrated capability in learning and development content creation, assessment, and performance management processes.
