Job Purpose
To perform systematic inspections of vehicles (trucks, trailers, forklifts, company cars, plant equipment) to ensure they are safe, roadworthy, compliant with regulatory requirements, and maintained in line with the company’s fleet safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify vehicle compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements (e.g., roadworthiness, emissions, insurance, registration, load-limits).
- Responsible for Pre-Operation and post Operation inspections.
- To ensure Preventive maintenance is effectively implemented to minimize downtime, repair cost, and operational risks.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related technical field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in vehicle inspection, fleet maintenance, or automotive servicing (heavy vehicle experience preferred).
- Thorough knowledge of mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with fleet operations, workshop practices, vehicle maintenance scheduling.
- Should be capable of utilizing digital tools and systems.
