About the Opportunity
Planet Lodges & Spa is seeking a professional and experienced Food & Beverage Supervisor to oversee restaurant and bar operations at its lodge properties.
The successful candidate will ensure high-quality guest service, efficient service coordination, and compliance with hospitality standards to deliver an exceptional dining experience.
Position: Food & Beverage Supervisor
The Food & Beverage Supervisor will be responsible for supervising service staff, coordinating restaurant operations, maintaining service standards, and ensuring guest satisfaction in the dining areas.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Restaurant & Bar Operations
- Supervise daily restaurant and bar operations.
- Ensure service standards are maintained at all times.
- Coordinate service flow between kitchen and service staff.
- Ensure guests receive prompt and professional service.
- Monitor cleanliness and presentation of dining areas.
Guest Service
- Welcome and interact with guests to ensure high satisfaction levels.
- Address guest inquiries, requests, and complaints professionally.
- Communicate special dietary or service requests to the kitchen.
- Ensure guests enjoy a memorable dining experience.
Staff Supervision
- Supervise waiters, bartenders, and service assistants.
- Assign daily duties and service stations.
- Provide guidance and support during service periods.
- Ensure staff adhere to service protocols and dress codes.
- Assist in training and mentoring new employees.
Service Standards & Coordination
- Ensure proper table settings and restaurant presentation.
- Monitor service etiquette and hospitality standards.
- Ensure accurate order taking and billing procedures.
- Communicate guest orders clearly to kitchen staff.
- Monitor order timing and food delivery during service.
Inventory & Equipment Management
- Monitor service equipment and supply levels.
- Ensure adequate stock of beverages, cutlery, and service items.
- Report shortages or damaged equipment.
- Assist in inventory counts when required.
Health, Safety & Hygiene
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas and service stations.
- Ensure staff follow sanitation and safety procedures.
- Report health or safety concerns immediately.
Reporting & Administration
- Prepare service reports for management when required.
- Record guest feedback and service issues.
- Assist with staff scheduling.
- Monitor attendance and punctuality of service staff.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in food and beverage service.
- 2–4 years of supervisory experience in hospitality operations.
- Experience in hotels, lodges, or hospitality establishments is preferred.
- Diploma or Certificate in Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage Service, or related field.
