About Arusha Coffee Lodge

Arusha Coffee Lodge by Elewana, set within one of Tanzania’s most renowned working coffee plantations, is seeking a dedicated, professional, and service-oriented Front Office Executive to join its Rooms Division team.

As the first point of contact for our discerning guests, the Front Office Executive plays a vital role in creating exceptional first impressions and ensuring a seamless Elewana Guest Experience from arrival to departure. Role Purpose

The purpose of this role is to deliver efficient and professional guest check-in and check-out services, ensure accurate administrative management, and provide personalized guest care in strict compliance with Elewana service standards.


Key Responsibilities

Front Office & Administration

  • Implement all front office procedures in full compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Prepare accurate daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
  • Manage guest billing, reservation follow-ups, and collection of outstanding payments.
  • Maintain professional internal and external correspondence, ensuring effective interdepartmental communication and handovers.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all financial control and accounting procedures.

Guest Experience & Care

  • Deliver warm, attentive, and seamless guest service at all times.
  • Manage individual and group check-ins and check-outs, site inspections, and arrivals.
  • Record and update guest preferences accurately and handle guest feedback professionally.
  • Assist in resolving guest complaints and implementing service recovery initiatives.

Product Knowledge & Sales

  • Maintain thorough knowledge of room categories, rates, and occupancy levels.
  • Actively promote lodge facilities, guest experiences, and other properties within the Elewana Collection.

Financial & Cashiering

  • Accurately process guest bills and reconcile third-party vouchers.
  • Maintain error-free and well-organized financial records.
  • Ensure secure handling of departmental keys and uphold strict accountability standards.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential Requirements

  • Diploma in Hotel Management.
  • Minimum of one (1) year proven experience in a Front Office or similar hospitality role.

Desirable Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Front Office Management, Sales, or Public Relations.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong time management and attention to detail.
  • Proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with adaptability to dynamic operational environments.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts within a 24-hour hospitality operation.
