VACANCY: GENERAL LEDGER ACCOUNTANT (GLA)

Wananchi Group Tanzania (SimbaNET & WCT), a Regional Company which provides Internet, Data, Broadcasting and Multimedia Communication Solutions.

We are currently seeking an experienced, professional General Ledger Accountant (GLA) who is highly competent, self-motivated, with a passion for adding value and professional for both entities. He/She will be reporting to Country Finance Manager.

3. Financial Reporting Function
4. Account Reconciliation and Analysis
5. Compliance and Audit Support
6. Internal Controls

QUALIFICATION

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience: At least 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably with a focus on general ledger or financial reporting.

Certification: CPA T, ACCA, or equivalent professional accounting certification preferred.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, or Oracle) and MS Excel.

Knowledge: Strong understanding of Tanzanian financial regulations and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

Soft Skills: Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
