Role Summary

The Group Business Director will lead growth across key industries, manage strategic client relationships, and support the Group CEO and Group COO in driving overall business performance.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Financial and Performance Management

Key Responsibilities

1. Sector Strategy & Leadership

• Develop and implement sector growth strategies
• Provide leadership across priority industries
• Identify emerging market opportunities

2. Business Development & Revenue Growth

• Drive revenue expansion across target sectors
• Identify and secure new business opportunities
• Manage key accounts and strategic partnerships

3. Client & Stakeholder Engagement

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners
• Engage senior decision-makers across sectors
• Represent the Group in high-level engagements

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with internal teams to deliver integrated solutions
• Align sector priorities with overall Group strategy

5. Financial & Performance Management

• Oversee sector performance and revenue targets
• Monitor financial performance and ensure commercial sustainability

Qualifications & Experience

Applicants must demonstrate:

• Business experience in at least three (3) countries, including Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, South Africa, or any Sub-Saharan African country
• Minimum 7 years of senior experience in business development or sector leadership
• Strong professional networks in at least two of the following sectors:
  • Telecom and Banking
  • FMCG and Retail
  • Sports, Media and Gaming
  • Government
  • NGOs and Donors
  • Energy and Mining
  • SMEs, Startups and Investors
• Proven ability to grow revenue and manage key accounts
• Strong digital literacy and ability to leverage technology for business growth
