Job Opportunity: High Voltage Electrical Design Engineer

Working Station: Dodoma & Elsewhere in Tanzania and Eastern Africa

Key Responsibilities
-
Design of high voltage (HV) electrical systems (66kV and above).

Develop protection schemes, substation layouts, and single-line diagrams.

Perform system studies: load flow, short circuit, and insulation coordination.

Specify HV equipment (circuit breakers, transformers, CTs, VTs, etc.).

Ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, and local utility standards.

Collaborate with civil, mechanical, and project teams during execution.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
-
At least 5 years of experience in HV or MV electrical system design.

Proficiency in tools like ETAP, DigSILENT, AutoCAD, and Revit.

Strong technical knowledge of grid code and transmission systems.
