Job Summary

The Human Resources Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day HR operations within the manufacturing facility, ensuring all processes align with both Tanzanian labor laws and internal company policies (including those from the Chinese headquarters).

This role involves managing employees’ relations, performance management, and general administration, facilitating smooth communication and a productive work environment between local employees and Chinese management.

Key Responsibilities

1. Compliance and Employee Relations

• Ensure adherence to Tanzanian labor laws
• Manage employee grievances and disciplinary issues
• Act as a liaison between local staff and Chinese management

2. HR Administration

• Maintain employee records
• Assist with policy development
• Coordinate payroll inputs and statutory compliance

3. Performance and Training

• Support performance management processes
• Coordinate training programs

4. Reporting and Work Environment

• Prepare HR reports
• Help maintain workplace health and safety standards

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field

Experience

• At least 3 years or above of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing industry

Knowledge & Skills

Essential:

• Strong understanding of Tanzanian labor law
• Leadership and communication skills
• Negotiation and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work in a cross-cultural setting

Preferred:

• Professional HR certifications are a plus
