Role & Purpose
As an Instrumentation Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing instrumentation and process control systems to ensure smooth and efficient mining operations. You will work on a variety of automated equipment, control networks, and monitoring devices, ensuring reliability and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities

Maintenance & Repair: Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on instrumentation and control systems.

Calibration: Test, calibrate, program, install, and inspect process control equipment.

Control Systems: Troubleshoot and maintain PLC, SCADA, and control networks for smooth operations.

Reliability: Ensure proper functioning of automated equipment and monitoring devices.

Data & Reporting: Configure and utilize various instruments for data recording and reporting.

General Support: Undertake a variety of tasks as assigned by the Supervisor, contributing to the overall efficiency and safety of mining operations.
What We’re Looking For
1. Qualifications & Training (Must Have)
-
Internationally recognized training in Instrumentation & Control, OR a Full Technician Certificate (FTC).
2. Experience & Technical Skills
-
Experience: Minimum 3+ years’ experience in an industrial environment, preferably mining.

Control Systems: Knowledge of control systems, Siemens PLC, and Citect SCADA (Highly Preferred).

Specialized Skills: Experience with PID Loop Tuning and maintenance systems (Pronto, Flow Centric, etc.).

Core Competencies: Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.

Software: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
