Job Purpose

To sell, promote, and provide guidance on CRDB Islamic Banking products and services within specified zones, regions, focal areas, or customer segments, with the objective of growing Islamic Banking business in line with the Bank’s strategic goals.


Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with branch teams through joint customer visits and ensure timely processing of customer requests in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Expand Islamic Banking business and enhance staff knowledge through structured training and formal engagement sessions at branch and zonal levels.
  • Ensure branch and zonal deposit targets for Islamic Banking products are achieved.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to ensure Islamic Banking lending objectives are met in line with approved budgets.
  • Review and ensure all Islamic Banking proposals and applications submitted by Relationship Officers and other business personnel are Shariah-compliant and meet established standards.
  • Promote and support the recruitment of new employers and customers with strong potential for Islamic Banking products.
  • Collaborate with Relationship Managers (RMs), Relationship Officers (ROs), and other business teams to maintain Portfolio at Risk (PAR) and Non-Performing Loans (NPL) within acceptable bank thresholds.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of CRDB Bank products, with particular emphasis on Islamic Banking offerings and the local market.
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or an equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ banking experience, with strong exposure to Customer Relationship Management.
  • Prior experience in Islamic Banking will be an added advantage.
  • Strong strategic business awareness and a clear understanding of banking products, internal processes, and customer relationship management.
  • Knowledge of Performance Management and Change Management principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to promote teamwork, open communication, trust, and a customer-service-oriented culture.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, planning, organizing, interpersonal, coaching, reporting, and analytical skills.
  • Strong credit risk assessment capability, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access).
  • Strong multitasking and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
