CSR & Sustainability Programs Manager
Job Purpose
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing innovative, tailored, effective, and impactful social programmes that support the strategic and business-centric focus of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). These programmes will be designed and implemented in compliance with the company’s guidelines, governance standards, and financial control processes.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the identification and prioritisation of social programmes aligned with the KCCT strategy.
- Develop and implement comprehensive sustainability strategies, including monitoring and reporting on sustainability initiatives and performance metrics for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the development of KCCT’s sustainability and social programmes strategic plan to ensure initiatives are properly planned, budgeted, and aligned with overall business objectives.
- Represent KCCT to Government institutions, international agencies, funding partners, donors, civil society organisations, and industry partners, ensuring stakeholders are informed of project activities, results, and impact at local, national, and international levels.
- Manage KCCT budgets and accounting processes, provide regular financial and performance reports to the Board of Trustees, and ensure full compliance with Trust requirements.
- Develop and implement a marketing and fundraising strategy to raise the profile of KCCT and increase awareness of the needs of Kilombero communities.
- Identify and pursue in-country and external funding opportunities to support development projects and activities, with a primary focus on the Kilombero growers’ vision.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders, particularly surrounding Kilombero grower communities, to understand community needs and ensure ownership of projects and outcomes.
- Identify, design, and implement new project proposals that support sustainable development of surrounding communities, aligned with the Kilombero growers’ vision.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Community Development, Public Relations, Sustainability, or a related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in fundraising, donor relations, or resource mobilisation within NGOs or development agencies.
- Proven track record of executing effective strategies and delivering impactful programmes.
- Experience working in cross-cultural and multi-stakeholder environments.
- Demonstrated success in community investment programmes, fundraising initiatives, and development of sustainable partnerships.
Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies
- Strong proposal writing skills, both technical and financial.
- Excellent networking and relationship-building abilities.
- Solid understanding of donor landscapes and funding mechanisms.
- Strong project development and project management capabilities.
- Proven ability to address challenges in project management and implementation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Swahili.
- Sound negotiation skills and strong creative thinking ability.
- Demonstrated collaborative leadership and management skills in a project-based environment.
Terms of Service
The successful candidate will be engaged on a Fixed-Term Contract.
