Position Summary

The school is seeking a dedicated, experienced, and motivated Laboratory Technician to support the effective delivery of science education in both primary and secondary school levels.

The successful candidate will assist in preparing laboratory materials, maintaining equipment, and ensuring safe laboratory practices for students and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory equipment, chemicals, and materials for science lessons and experiments.
• Assist science teachers during practical laboratory sessions when required.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure apparatus are clean, functional, and safely stored.
• Manage laboratory inventory, including monitoring, ordering, and organizing supplies.
• Ensure compliance with laboratory safety standards and procedures.
• Handle and dispose of chemical waste and hazardous materials according to safety guidelines.
• Support preparation and organization of practical examinations.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in:
  • Laboratory Technology
  • Science
  • Related field
• Previous experience in a school or laboratory environment is an advantage.
• Good command of English (written and spoken).
• Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and chemical handling.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and students.
