Key Responsibilities

Smartphone Bundling and Upgrade Programs

  • Support the uptake of smartphone bundling and upgrade programs
  • Execute smartphone programs in line with business objectives
  • Design and implement structured upgrade pathways to drive adoption
  • Roll out pilot programs, measure uptake, refine go-to-market (GTM) strategies, and scale nationally
  • Ensure smooth supply chain operations and stock availability at distributor and retail points

Sales Infrastructure and Partnerships

  • Develop and manage Airtel smartphone sales infrastructure and drive sales volume growth
  • Partner with OEMs and retailers on joint initiatives
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to execute smartphone partnership initiatives across multiple channels
  • Align incentives across partners, Airtel teams, and retail salesforces to ensure effective execution
  • Identify and expand device-selling channels and retail outlets
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews with OEMs and key retail partners

Performance Tracking and Customer Insights

  • Track program KPIs and customer feedback
  • Develop dashboards for real-time tracking of channel sales performance
  • Collect structured customer feedback through surveys, NPS, and call-center insights
  • Analyze data to identify gaps in pricing, availability, and customer experience
  • Share actionable insights with leadership and partners to enable rapid strategy adjustments

Sales Growth and Innovation Initiatives

  • Drive sales initiatives targeting diverse customer segments and markets
  • Innovate customer acquisition and retention strategies
  • Introduce device financing options and additional Airtel devices across sales channels
  • Drive digital-first onboarding journeys, including app-based bundling and eKYC processes
  • Execute loyalty-based upgrade schemes to retain channel customers
  • Benchmark continuously against competitor offerings and global best practices

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications and Technical Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (BBA) or Commerce (B.Com)
  • Experience with smartphone ecosystems and OEM partnerships
  • Strong commercial acumen with proven execution capability

Relevant Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in telecom, device management, or product marketing
  • Experience in the telecom industry is mandatory
