Key Responsibilities

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure safe work practices by:
  • Attending compulsory safety courses and meetings.
  • Using required PPE.
  • Reporting incidents/accidents.
  • Adhering to Safety, Occupational Health, Environmental Policies, and other relevant procedures.
• Ensure equipment isolation and adhere to working at height and confined space standards/procedures.
• Conduct pre-start checks and inspections.
• Demonstrate awareness of Mining Safety Regulations and Mines Health & Safety Act requirements.

Maintenance & Repairs

• Follow all maintenance procedures and complete mechanical activities according to standards without causing further damage.
• Carry out mechanical repair and preventative maintenance to maintain equipment safely and efficiently to achieve production and availability targets.
• Perform troubleshooting, fault finding, and corrective maintenance to resolve unplanned equipment availability events.
• Ensure maintenance practices result in maximum equipment availability.
• Perform PM services according to maintenance requirements and ensure preventive maintenance compliance.
• Follow up on outstanding machine maintenance and repairs.
• Ensure Maintenance Supervisor and stakeholders are kept informed of equipment availability status.

Equipment & Inspection

• Identify mechanical equipment and required resources.
