Assemble Insurance is looking for qualified individuals to fill the position of Medical Claims Assessor based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
Responsibilities

Assess medical claims submitted by hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies for accuracy and completeness.

Verify prescriptions, diagnostic tests, and treatment plans against medical necessity and insurance policy coverage.

Review medical provider price lists.

Identify fraudulent, exaggerated, or non-compliant claims.

Support actuarial and underwriting teams with medical insights for policy development.

Ensure adherence to Tanzanian health regulations, insurance laws, and ethical medical practices.

Initiate and participate in audits and quality assurance reviews of medical claims.

Provide recommendations for improving claims processing efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications and Experience

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Medicine.

Registration: Valid professional registration (where applicable).

Experience: Minimum 3–4 years’ experience in medical claims assessment, healthcare administration, or insurance.

Preferred: Certificate of Proficiency in Insurance (COP) is a preferred added advantage.
