About TASAF
The Tanzania Social Action Fund (TASAF) is implementing the Productive Social Safety Net (PSSN) Programme, which aims to:
- Increase income, consumption, and resilience among targeted households
- Enhance human capital development, particularly for children
- Improve livelihood opportunities and household welfare
The programme delivers integrated interventions designed to strengthen economic empowerment and reduce vulnerability among poor households.
Position Overview
The Executive Director of TASAF invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Officer.
This role is critical in supporting programme performance tracking, evidence generation, and learning to improve the effectiveness of PSSN interventions.
Key Responsibilities

The MEL Officer will generally be responsible for:
- Designing and implementing monitoring and evaluation systems
- Tracking programme performance indicators under PSSN
- Collecting, analysing, and interpreting programme data
- Supporting reporting on programme outcomes and impact
- Facilitating learning processes and knowledge sharing
- Ensuring data quality and integrity across implementation levels
- Supporting field monitoring activities and evaluations
- Providing evidence-based recommendations for programme improvement
