MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The OMS & Process Improvement Specialist is responsible for the full implementation and ongoing maintenance of the One Management System (OMS) at site level. The role serves as the central coordinator for process improvement initiatives, ensuring alignment with Bayer standards while driving efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement.
KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Integrated Management System (IMS)
- Work with relevant stakeholders to ensure all processes are mapped, documented, and kept up to date in line with operational realities.
- Coordinate implementation and continuous maintenance of IMS, ensuring alignment with Bayer IMS standards.
- Foster a strong culture of investigation into quality and process deviations, driving root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Share lessons learned from deviations to prevent recurrence.
- Ensure effective change management through the Management of Change (MOC) system.
- Drive proactive risk identification, analysis, and mitigation using appropriate tools.
- Monitor and report IMS performance metrics (“IMS vitals”) in relevant governance forums.
- Facilitate production retrospectives and management reviews using performance data across the seed value chain.
- Conduct IMS awareness and compliance training for cross-functional teams.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely closure of all audit findings.
- Represent the site in regional forums, sharing and adopting best practices in quality management.
- Support effective use of quality and compliance tools such as Intelex, MyDoc, and other relevant systems, acting as the site focal point.
Process Improvement
- Lead end-to-end process mapping, waste reduction, and standardization initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and Root Cause Analysis methodologies.
- Utilize data from multiple sources to drive evidence-based optimization and improvement decisions.
- Support implementation of relevant OnePSS initiatives.
- Collaborate across functions to improve product quality, reduce cycle times, and minimize losses.
- Drive digitalization and automation initiatives in documentation and traceability systems.
- Lead and manage IMS-related innovation and optimization projects, ensuring documentation, technical support, and KPI tracking throughout the project lifecycle.

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the seed industry and/or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of production systems and quality standards.
- Lead Auditor certification (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) is an added advantage.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills with proficiency in root cause analysis tools.
- Advanced knowledge of data management and analysis.
- Excellent documentation and project management skills.
- High level of influencing and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong coaching, mentoring, and facilitation capabilities.
- Ability to lead, manage conflict, and negotiate across cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated courage, candor, initiative, and accountability.
- Ability to deliver results in a dynamic and changing environment.
- Familiarity with regulatory bodies or seed certification standards is desirable.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
