1. Introduction
Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international, independent, medical humanitarian organization that delivers emergency aid to people affected by conflict, epidemics, and natural disasters. MSF provides assistance based on need, irrespective of race, religion, gender, or political affiliation, guided by the principles of neutrality and impartiality.
2. Position Objective
Under the supervision of the Pharmacy Supervisor and in collaboration with the logistics team, the Pharmacy Storekeeper executes medical warehouse activities to maintain stock levels above security thresholds and ensure items are stored under recommended conditions (temperature, humidity, etc.).
3. Main Responsibilities

Order Management: Supervise material orders and dispatching to ensure rational use; receive deliveries and report disparities against cargo manifests.

Stock Control: Maintain accurate records on stock cards and software; participate in regular inventories (including EPREP stock).

Storage Conditions: Ensure all medical items are stored according to pharmaceutical and MSF Cold Chain protocols; monitor warehouse temperature and maintain cleanliness.

Monitoring & Reporting: Track stock levels, alert thresholds, and expiry dates (specifically drugs expiring within 6 months); report anomalies or changes in consumption patterns to the supervisor.

Security & Maintenance: Control warehouse access to authorized personnel only; secure exits and report any damage, loss, or attempted theft.

Quarantine Management: Remove and safely lock away items identified for batch recalls, quality alerts, or damage.
4. Required Criteria

Education: Diploma in Pharmacy and valid registration in Tanzania (Essential).

Experience: * Essential: Minimum 1 year of experience as a pharmacist with a valid license.

Desirable: Experience with MSF or other NGOs in developing countries.

Languages: Fluency in English and Swahili is essential. Knowledge of Kirundi and/or French is an added advantage.

Technical Skills: Essential computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, and Internet).
