GIN Investment Limited, a company operating in the waste management industry, is seeking to recruit a Procurement Officer to be based in Dar es Salaam.

• Location: Dar es Salaam

Role Summary

The Procurement Officer will be responsible for managing and optimizing the organization’s procurement activities to ensure cost efficiency, quality assurance, and timely availability of goods and services.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement effective procurement strategies, policies, and procedures
• Negotiation & Contracting: Negotiate contracts, pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers
• Supplier Relationship Management: Identify, evaluate, select, and maintain strong vendor relationships
• Cost Management: Monitor procurement expenditures, manage budgets, and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Risk Mitigation: Identify and manage potential supply chain risks and disruptions
• Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor purchasing staff while collaborating with internal departments

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
• Experience: Proven experience as a Procurement Officer, Purchasing Officer, or in a similar role
• Skills: Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems, procurement software, and Microsoft Office applications
• Knowledge: Solid understanding of sourcing and procurement practices, including contract and legal considerations
