Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified professional to support Economic Empowerment Programming, focusing on project implementation, stakeholder engagement, and technical delivery to improve the livelihoods of vulnerable communities.


Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning, Implementation & Management (40%)

  • Collaborate with program teams to implement economic empowerment activities aligned with work plans, budgets, and targets
  • Support development of annual and quarterly reports
  • Assist in preparing annual work plans for interventions
  • Act as focal point for donor compliance requirements
  • Strengthen coordination between World Vision, partners, and government
  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
  • Represent the organization in meetings, partner visits, and engagements
  • Support project adjustments in scope, schedule, and cost

  • Effective reporting and documentation systems
  • Active participation in meetings, trainings, and conferences

2. Gender-Responsive Economic Empowerment (35%)

  • Ensure interventions are gender-responsive and inclusive
  • Provide technical support (ToRs, reports, action plans)
  • Conduct capacity gap analyses and strengthen partner capabilities
  • Facilitate trainings, stakeholder meetings, and youth business development
  • Support market assessments and community action plans
  • Monitor progress through field visits and partner engagement

  • Improved capacity of project staff and stakeholders
  • Programs aligned with gender-responsive market needs

3. Quality Technical Program Delivery (15%)

  • Monitor financial inclusion and marketing activities
  • Provide feedback to partners and project staff
  • Support livelihoods programming for youth and adolescents

  • Improved employability and entrepreneurship skills
  • Strengthened economic empowerment of women and youth

4. Networking & External Engagement (10%)

  • Strengthen relationships with government and community stakeholders
  • Build trust with project collaborators
  • Participate in regional meetings and engagements

  • Strong external partnerships

Qualifications & Experience

Required Professional Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Economic Strengthening projects
  • Proven experience managing donor-funded projects
  • Strong background in project management cycles
  • Experience supervising staff and working with multidisciplinary teams
  • Knowledge of youth development and economic empowerment
  • Experience in financial inclusion, value chains, and marketing
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and data management

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in:
    • Marketing
    • Finance
    • Business Administration
    • Economics
    • Social Work or related field
  • Additional training in:
    • Financial inclusion
    • Business development
    • Employability and personal development skills
    • Report writing and publications

Preferred Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong coordination and planning abilities
  • Advanced report writing skills
  • High level of integrity and professionalism
  • Ability to work independently and within teams
  • Experience working with government, partners, and communities
  • Cultural sensitivity and ability to work in diverse environments
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
