Bugando Medical Centre is a tertiary referral, consultant, and teaching hospital serving over 14 million people in the Lake and Western zones of Tanzania. With a capacity of over 1,000 beds and 2,000 employees, it provides specialist care for eight regions including Mwanza, Geita, Simiyu, Mara, Kagera, Shinyanga, Tabora, and Kigoma.

Position: Medical Specialist (Radiologist) – 1 Post

Salary Scale: PMGSS 11

Qualifications

Basic Degree: Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree.
Master’s Degree: Master of Medicine (M.Med) in Radiology or equivalent.
Registration: Must be registered with the Medical Council of Tanganyika (MCT).
Added Advantage: Master of Science Superspeciality in Interventional Radiology.

Duties and Responsibilities

Attend to inpatients, outpatients, and emergency medical duties.
Carry out and ensure the completion of prescribed specialized investigations.
Conduct specialized operations within the field of Radiology.
Supervise and mentor students, interns, and junior staff in clinical duties.
Conduct on-the-job training and participate in major ward rounds.
Participate in morning clinical sessions, patient presentations, journal clubs, and research activities.
Conduct outreach programs.
Perform duties related to Interventional Radiology (if qualified).
