Job Vacancy: Regional Grant Finance Capacity Building Specialist

Role Overview
The Regional Grant Finance Capacity Building Specialist leads the design and delivery of tools, resources, and training focused on grant management and local capacity strengthening. You will act as the bridge between complex donor regulations and field implementation, converting technical requirements into accessible toolkits that mitigate risk and promote compliance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Content Development & Instructional Design

Simplify Complexity: Create content that translates intricate donor rules (USG, Global Fund, UN, etc.) into simple, actionable toolkits for the grants community.

Multi-Platform Design: Design and structure materials for in-person, online, and hybrid formats using modern instructional methods.

Content Management: Maintain team sites and ensure all global grant acquisition and compliance materials reflect current trends and desired learning outcomes.

Continuous Improvement: Revise and rewrite content based on learner feedback and evolving donor landscapes.
2. Training, Mentoring & Facilitation

Active Facilitation: Lead training sessions in both virtual and face-to-face environments.

Coaching: Provide direct mentoring and coaching support to World Vision grant staff and local partners.

Needs Analysis: Partner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to define learning objectives and conduct comprehensive needs assessments.
3. Organizational & Spiritual Engagement

Mission Alignment: Attend and participate in meetings, devotions, chapel services, staff retreats, and the annual Day of Prayer.

Project Leadership: Lead or participate in special regional projects and perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
Candidate Requirements
Essential Qualifications
-
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Finance, International Development, or Education).

Experience: 5–7 years in public/private grants management, preferably within an International NGO (INGO) environment.

Technical Expertise: Proven track record in capacity building, assessment, and partnering within the grants space.

Language: Full professional proficiency in both written and spoken English and French is REQUIRED.

Travel: Willingness to travel internationally up to 20% of the time.
Preferred Knowledge & Skills

Advanced Credentials: Master’s degree or specialized certification in Grants Management and/or Training and Facilitation.

Donor Specifics: Experience working with the Global Fund and other multilateral donors.

Tech Savvy: Familiarity with learning/media tools (e.g., Adobe Captivate, Articulate, Camtasia, Power BI).

Localization: Strong understanding of local capacity strengthening in a development context.
