Job Title: Relationship Manager – Corporate & Investment Banking (CREL Sector)

Job Summary
The role is responsible for defining and executing strategic client plans to build strong, profitable relationships and deliver integrated Corporate and Investment Banking solutions to clients within the Construction, Real Estate and Logistics (CREL) sectors.
The position focuses on driving client profitability, increasing revenue, optimizing risk, and ensuring consistent and high-quality service delivery, while identifying financing and transactional opportunities across the CREL client base.
Key Responsibilities
Sales and Service Focus
- Lead the development and execution of strategic client plans in collaboration with product partners.
- Grow portfolio value in line with agreed targets through effective cross-sell and up-sell of products and services.
- Conduct portfolio performance analysis (against prior year and budget), including revenue, net profit growth, and pipeline management using appropriate tools.
- Identify sales and service opportunities and provide tailored financial solutions aligned to client needs.
- Build and maintain deep relationships with senior client decision-makers (MDs, Group Treasurers, Group FDs).
- Utilize all customer engagement channels to enhance understanding of client needs.
- Work closely with customer service teams to resolve service requests and complaints effectively.
- Collaborate across the Bank’s network to ensure delivery of comprehensive solutions and consistent client service.
- Support business growth through referrals while living the “One Bank” culture.
- Promote adoption of digital banking and alternative delivery channels.
- Continuously research and analyze clients’ business environments, operations, and financial performance.
- Coordinate client engagement programs such as thought leadership sessions, networking events, and corporate social initiatives.
- Proactively enhance the Bank’s profile and reputation within the local business community.
Business Focus
- Support the management and coordination of CREL sector strategy and client relationships.
- Provide input into the Bank’s strategic direction and value proposition for the CREL sector.
- Maintain strong awareness of external market trends at country, sector, and client levels.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of the Bank’s products, services, and capabilities across relevant geographies.
- Drive annual budgets jointly with product teams and monitor performance against targets.
- Manage client profitability through revenue tracking, cost management, and variance analysis.
- Conduct routine reporting activities, including pricing reviews, interest rate analysis, and concessions management.
- Administer client service surveys and implement action plans to address identified service gaps.
Risk Focus
- Understand and comply with governance, risk, and compliance requirements.
- Drive end-to-end credit processes, including preparation, review, and submission of credit proposals and deal documentation.
- Manage credit exposures, limits, and facility utilization across products and geographies.
- Guide preparation and review of annual credit reviews and supporting documentation.
- Proactively monitor portfolio risk, credit losses, and write-offs to achieve zero-loss outcomes.
- Act as the first line of defense in managing client-related risks.
- Identify high-risk clients early and act as the escalation point for emerging risk issues.
People Focus
- Commit to continuous learning and professional development through training, coaching, and on-the-job learning.
- Provide day-to-day coaching and development support to team members, including operational bankers and credit/business analysts.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Commerce, Management Studies, or a related field.
- Experience in a similar environment at a junior specialist level.
- Strong commercial mindset and customer-centric approach.
- Demonstrated relationship-building skills.
- Solid product and service knowledge within banking.
- Digital familiarity and openness to innovation.
- Effective communication skills.
- Willingness and ability to adapt to change and continuous development.
