Job Vacancy: Reporting Analyst- Commercial
Job description
The Reporting Analyst is responsible for collecting, analysing, and reporting data across telecom services (SMS, USSD, Shortcodes), digital payment platforms (A2P, P2A, Disbursements), and POS/Wakala operations. The role ensures accurate reporting, supports decision-making, and maintains compliance with regulatory, financial, and operational requirements.
Requirements & qualifications
KEY RESULT AREAS/MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Data Collection & Validation
- Extract data from SMS, USSD, payment, and POS systems
- Validate data accuracy and completeness
- Perform reconciliations across systems, banks, and MNOs
Telecom Reporting
- Report on SMS traffic (A2P/P2A), delivery rates, and failures
- Analyze USSD sessions and shortcode usage
- Support telecom revenue assurance
- Align reporting with TCRA requirements
Digital Payments Reporting
- Report on A2P, P2A, and disbursement transactions
- Track transaction volumes, values, and success rates
- Support settlement and reconciliation
- Ensure compliance with BoT financial regulations
POS & Wakala Reporting
- Monitor agent transactions, commissions, and float
- Prepare operational and financial reports
- Support agent performance tracking
Dashboard & Automation
- Develop dashboards using Power BI / Excel
- Automate reporting processes
- Provide real-time and scheduled reports
Compliance & Regulatory Reporting
- Prepare reports for BoT and TCRA submissions
- Support audits and regulatory reviews
- Ensure AML and fraud monitoring reporting
Data Analysis & Insights
- Identify trends, anomalies, and revenue leakage
- Provide business insights and recommendations
- Support commercial teams in acquiring and managing key agent partners.
Education background.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, IT, Data Science, or related field
- Customer care is an added advantage.
- Professional certification (finance, operations, or management) is an added advantage
Skills& Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of digital payment ecosystems (A2P, P2A, POS) and telecom business.
- Strong risk, control, and governance mindset.
- Analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
- Leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience
- 3–5 years’ experience in telecom or fintech reporting Experience working with banks, MNOs, or payment providers
- Experience with SQL, Excel, and BI tools
