About the Location – Serengeti National Park
Located in the heart of one of the world’s most celebrated wildlife reserves, Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti offers unparalleled access to Africa’s iconic Big Five — lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant, and rhinoceros.
Perched on elevated platforms overlooking an active animal watering hole, the Lodge provides extraordinary wildlife viewing opportunities, including daily elephant sightings. Nestled in the Central Serengeti, the Lodge is approximately 45 minutes from Seronera Airstrip, accessible via connecting flights from Tanzania’s major airports.

Position Summary
The Reservations Agent is responsible for managing all aspects of Lodge reservations, selling the resort, recording bookings accurately, and providing detailed information to prospective guests. The role focuses on converting inquiries into confirmed reservations while ensuring guest satisfaction through accuracy, efficiency, and personalized service.
Basic Purpose
- Manage and coordinate Lodge reservations
- Capture sales from incoming inquiries
- Ensure all reservation details meet Four Seasons standards
- Support exceptional guest experiences from booking through arrival
Essential Functions
- Handle reservation calls and correspondence in compliance with Four Seasons standards
- Capture sales from incoming inquiries and convert to confirmed bookings
- Process reservations via internal systems and complete all required documentation
- Manage General Reservations email and Four Seasons Chat application
- Maintain accurate guest profiles, VIP notes, Special Attention notes, and billing instructions
- Run and distribute daily reservation and operational reports
- Handle guest complaints professionally and escalate when necessary
- Process WRO, Trust, Internal, FIT, Employee Comp, Friends & Family, and Group reservations
- Confirm and guarantee non-guaranteed reservations
- Monitor waitlists, special requests, and room blocking
- Coordinate VIP and Special Attention guest details with relevant departments
- Assist with group bookings, rate codes, confirmations, and turnovers
- Ensure adherence to dress code, grooming standards, and professional conduct
- Comply with all Four Seasons policies, procedures, and safety regulations
General Functions
- Provide outstanding guest service at all times
- Answer all inquiries in a friendly, professional, and timely manner
- Attend daily briefings and weekly meetings as required
- Support Front Desk, PBX, and other departments when needed
- Respond appropriately during emergencies or safety situations
- Follow all Occupational Health & Safety policies
- Complete mandatory Four Seasons training programs, including Lead with Care
Other Responsibilities
- Support the Safety Committee and Green Committee
- Assist Sales & Marketing with guest inquiries and site inspections
- Temporarily relocate or change work location when business needs require
- Perform additional duties of similar status as assigned by Management
Reporting Line
- Reports to: Reservations Manager
Special Requirements
Education
- Diploma or Degree in Hotel or Tourism Management
- OR High school education with relevant equivalent experience
Experience
- 1–2 years of experience in a similar role
- Experience with Four Seasons or another five-star hospitality organization preferred

- Strong written and spoken English
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Professional attitude and teamwork orientation
