Position Overview

Bagamoyo Sugar Limited is seeking a qualified individual for the role of RO Plant Operator based in Bagamoyo, Tanzania. The role involves operating and maintaining the reverse osmosis water treatment system to ensure the company’s operational water quality and efficiency standards are met.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• System Monitoring: Operate and monitor the RO water treatment system effectively.
• Data Recording: Document daily operational parameters, including pressure, flow, conductivity, and pH levels.
• Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, basic troubleshooting, membrane cleaning (CIP), and filter replacement as required.
• Chemical Management: Monitor dosing of chemicals such as antiscalant and chlorine.
• Quality & Safety: Ensure water quality meets standards, maintain operational logs, and adhere to all safety procedures.
• General Support: Execute additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Certificate or Diploma in Water Treatment, Mechanical, or Chemical fields.
• Experience: Basic knowledge or experience in RO plant operations.
• Technical Skills: Ability to record operational data, follow standard operating procedures, and perform basic mechanical troubleshooting.
