Role Summary

The Sales Officer – Chinese Trucks is a results-oriented role focused on driving commercial growth through the direct sale of Chinese heavy-duty vehicles. You will be responsible for expanding market presence, managing high-value accounts, and securing revenue within the logistics, construction, and mining sectors.


Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Lead Conversion: Identify prospects and convert leads into closed deals with fleet operators, construction firms, and logistics companies.

  • Strategy Execution: Develop and implement sales strategies tailored to the Tanzanian automotive market and company targets.

  • Document Management: Prepare professional quotations, contracts, and sales documentation while overseeing the payment and delivery lifecycle.

2. Relationship & Account Management

  • Customer Retention: Build and maintain long-term partnerships with existing clients to ensure repeat business.

  • Technical Presentations: Conduct in-depth product demonstrations, articulating specifications, financing options, and the value of aftersales support.

  • Collaboration: Partner with technical and logistics teams to ensure a seamless experience from initial inquiry to final vehicle handover.

3. Market Intelligence

  • Competitor Analysis: Monitor market trends and competitor activities to refine pricing and sales approaches.

  • Reporting: Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline reports, and sales forecasts for management review.


Candidate Requirements

Qualifications & Education

  • Degree: Bachelor’s Degree in Sales and Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Experience: Minimum of 3+ years in automotive sales.

    • Preference given to candidates with experience in commercial vehicles or specific Chinese truck brands.

Core Competencies

  • Sector Knowledge: Deep understanding of truck specifications and use cases in logistics, construction, and mining.

  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed aggressive sales targets.
