Job Title: Security Foreman
Employment Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Group Security Director
Location & Deployment
- Initial Assignment: Nairobi and Homa Bay, Kenya (12–18 months)
- Long-Term Assignment: Tanzania (permanent, from first half of 2026)
- Primary Base: Rural Western Kenya (during Kenya phase)
Compensation
- Monthly Salary: KES 60,000 – 100,000 (gross)
- Annual Bonus: 0% – 30% of earned salary (gross), performance-based
Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Security Foreman to oversee and lead a team of security officers across our operations. This role is critical to ensuring safety, operational discipline, and effective incident response. You will serve as the right hand of the Security Supervisor, supporting daily security operations, investigations, reporting, and team coordination.
This position is designed as a founding role for Victory’s upcoming Tanzania business unit. The successful candidate will undergo 12–18 months of on-the-job learning in Kenya before permanently transitioning to Tanzania in 2026.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and guide security personnel to ensure professional conduct and effective performance
- Monitor ground operations and ensure adherence to security protocols
- Conduct regular patrols and spot checks of facilities and surrounding areas
- Maintain accurate daily records, including incident, accident, and activity reports
- Assist the Security Supervisor in managing incidents and providing on-ground intelligence
- Conduct investigations and interviews in line with company policies and local laws
- Perform daily inspections to identify physical hazards and security risks
- Monitor CCTV systems and alarms, ensuring all systems are fully operational
- Lead and support emergency responses, evacuations, and first-response protocols
- Handle complaints and resolve disturbances professionally
- Escort unauthorized or unwelcome persons off the premises when required
- Support staff training, onboarding, and continuous education
- Motivate, coach, and maintain morale among security personnel
- Ensure courteous and professional communication at all times
- Promote a positive, cooperative, and disciplined work environment
- Conduct risk assessments and enforce preventative security measures
- Inspect security tools and equipment and report defects promptly
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in a similar role (Security Foreman, Senior Guard, or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of security protocols, emergency response, and safety procedures
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills
- Familiarity with CCTV, alarm systems, and security technologies
- Strong report writing, investigative skills, and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and handle conflict calmly and professionally
- Basic computer literacy (MS Office and digital reporting tools)
- Physically fit and capable of patrols, inspections, and night duty
- Willingness to work approximately 25% night shifts
- Fluency in spoken and written English
Preferred Qualifications
- Military, police, or related security background
- Formal security training or certification (PSIRA or equivalent)
- Strong technological aptitude and ability to implement tech-enabled security systems
- Experience in a similar industrial or agricultural environment
- Knowledge of local legal, labor, and safety regulations
Working Conditions
- Flexible working hours as per duty roster
- Approximately 25% night duty
