Position: Security Operations Centre (SOC) Analyst

Job Purpose

The main purpose of the SOC Analyst is to deal with the security incidents which are detected and to lead in-depth analysis on these incidents till closure.

Duties

• Analyze the security measures of the Bank and determine how effective they are.

• Ensuring all networks have adequate security to prevent unauthorized access.

• Recognizes successful / potential intrusions and compromises through review and analysis of relevant event detail information.

• Launch and track investigations to resolution.

• Recognizes attacks based on their signatures. Differentiates false positives from true intrusion attempts.

   

• Alerts concerned stakeholders of intrusions and potential intrusions and compromises to their IT environment.

   

• Actively investigates the latest in security vulnerabilities, advisories, incidents, and penetration techniques and notifies concerned when appropriate.

• Conduct periodic Vulnerability Assessment and Reporting.

• Configuration Review of SOC devices.

• Respond to inbound requests via phone and other electronic means for technical assistance with managed services.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree / Post Graduate / Diploma Holder, IT Graduate / Post Graduate, Science Graduate / Post Graduate in Engineering with IT exposure.

• Certifications (At least one required): ECSA, CEH, CCNA Security, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, OSCP.

Work Experience

• At least 2 years of working experience in SOC/Cybersecurity.

• Proficient in Incident Management and Response.

• In-depth knowledge of security concepts such as cyber-attacks and techniques, threat vectors, risk management, incident management, etc.

• Strong interpersonal skills and a team player.

• Ability to engage senior corporate executives confidently.
