Job Overview

A leading airline is seeking to recruit a Senior Airport Services Agent to be based in Dar es Salaam.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality passenger services, including check-in, boarding, baggage handling, and special assistance, in line with the airline’s commercial and safety standards.


Key Responsibilities

Passenger Handling & Service Delivery

  • Provide efficient check-in, boarding, lounge, and baggage services
  • Ensure consistent and high-quality passenger experience

Coordination & Liaison

  • Liaise with check-in counters, transfer desk, and related airport units
  • Support the Airport Services Supervisor in daily operations
  • Coordinate with Ground Handling Agents (GHA) for smooth passenger processing

Passenger Assistance

  • Escort and direct passengers to key service areas (e.g., hotel desk, visa counters, lounges, boarding gates)
  • Assist passengers with travel requirements such as visas and entry regulations
  • Ensure seamless passenger movement through airport facilities

Operational Support

  • Assist duty officers with company materials and records
  • Support handling of transfer and hotel passengers
  • Perform additional duties to ensure efficient airport operations

Minimum Requirements

Experience

  • At least 1 year of experience in airport operations with a reputable airline
  • Proven experience in customer service

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
  • High energy level and positive attitude
  • Strong coordination and teamwork skills

Technical Knowledge

  • Experience with DCS (Departure Control Systems) is an advantage
  • Knowledge of ticketing systems
  • Strong preference for experience with Amadeus

Other Requirements

  • Fluency in English
  • Ability to work shifts
  • Must have the legal right to live and work in Tanzania
