Vacancy Overview: Senior Bancassurance Officer

1. Core Comparison of Roles

Feature Insurance Premium Financing (IPF) Corporate Bancassurance
Primary Focus Structuring and managing financing solutions for insurance premiums. Integrating general insurance products into the corporate banking segment.
Key Objective Increase insurance penetration through credit/financing solutions. Drive insurance product uptake and manage annual premium/commission targets.
Internal Partners Credit Department, Risk, and Relationship Managers. Corporate Relationship Managers and Operations teams.

2. Shared Requirements & Attributes

Regardless of the specific desk, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Insurance and Risk Management, Banking, Risk, or Finance.

  • Experience: Minimum 2–4 years in Bancassurance or Corporate Insurance sales.

  • Advantage: Professional insurance qualification (CII).

  • Key Skills: Proactive, results-oriented, and able to engage confidently with senior corporate executives.


3. Combined Key Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Identify and acquire corporate and SME clients to drive insurance uptake.

  • Develop sales strategies to meet annual targets for premiums and commissions.

  • Structure competitive financing proposals (IPF) aligned with client cash-flow cycles.

Risk & Relationship Management

  • Conduct regular relationship reviews and provide end-to-end client support.

  • Collaborate with the Credit Department for risk assessment of financed premiums.

  • Ensure timely renewal of all corporate insurance policies.

Operations & Reporting

  • Coordinate with insurers and brokers to confirm policy issuance and documentation.

  • Maintain portfolio trackers and prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports.

  • Ensure accurate invoicing and booking in line with bancassurance procedures.
