Business Banking Relationship Manager

Job Summary

The role is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of Business Banking (Enterprise) clients, building long-term relationships through efficient and reliable support.

The primary objective is to maximize sustainable, risk-adjusted returns while ensuring high-quality service delivery and driving business growth through both new and existing clients.


Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Service (70%)

  • Conduct annual and interim reviews of customer borrowing facilities
  • Grow and manage client portfolio through cross-selling and new business development
  • Provide advisory support on financial and credit-related matters
  • Resolve customer complaints effectively
  • Communicate service standards, pricing, and product updates
  • Identify and offer suitable banking products to meet customer needs
  • Plan and execute marketing strategies for new and existing clients
  • Ensure adherence to risk and service standards

2. Business Management (25%)

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities
  • Prioritize customers based on contribution and potential
  • Prepare and assess credit applications
  • Monitor portfolio quality using risk indicators and conditions of sanction
  • Manage high-risk clients (Early Warning List)
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures

3. Staff Management (5%)

  • Coordinate day-to-day Business Banking activities within the branch
  • Ensure consistent service delivery and risk management

Risk & Control Responsibilities

  • Act as crisis coordinator during major incidents
  • Monitor and review risk and compliance profiles
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements
  • Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes
  • Complete all mandatory compliance training

Qualifications & Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in:
    • Business
    • Commerce
    • Management (preferred)
  • Higher Certificates / Advanced National Certificates in Business-related fields (required)

Experience & Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of:
    • Business Banking products and services
    • Credit analysis and risk management
  • Ability to:
    • Assess customer needs
    • Recommend appropriate financial solutions
  • Knowledge of personal banking products for business owners
  • Broad understanding of banking policies and strategies
