Job Summary
MSI Tanzania, a leading provider of sexual and reproductive health care, is recruiting for a Social Behavior Change & Communication (SBCC) Manager. Reporting to the Director of Operations, this role provides technical leadership in developing costed strategies and work plans for community engagement, demand generation, and social behavior change. The primary focus is to ensure client flow to MSI Tanzania’s service delivery channels by overseeing evidence-based communication strategies through various community change agents.
Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Design: Lead the design of community engagement, behavioral change initiatives, and “Leave No One Behind” SBCC strategies with a focus on underserved and marginalized groups.

Performance Monitoring: Develop and manage performance dashboards and metrics for demand generation, mass media, and community engagement activities using Marketing Activity Reports (MAR).

Partnerships: Identify and manage relationships with external partners, including the Ministry of Health (MoH) and community-based organizations (CBOs), to expand reach and sustainability.

Donor Proposals: Provide technical input for donor proposals to ensure SBCC practices and innovations are integrated into project designs.

Brand & Competency: Spearhead the development of SRH IEC (Information, Education, and Communication) materials and build organizational capability in marketing solutions.
Requirements
Qualifications:

Degree in Public Health, Communications, Health Promotions, or any other Humanities.

Equivalent experience in communications and SBC at the community level is an added advantage.

Strong knowledge of behavior change communication methodologies and gender/youth-focused approaches.
Experience & Skills:
-
Proven experience working at the community level and coordinating activities across multiple locations.

Ability to communicate SRHR issues to diverse audiences and train teams in communication messaging.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (French proficiency is preferred).

Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable marketing insights.

Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
