Key Responsibilities
- Implement, monitor, and evaluate the Bank’s Sustainability Strategy and Programs in line with the KCBT Green Agenda.
- Coordinate the rollout of sustainable policies and practices across departments, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.
- Train staff and integrate the Social and Environmental Management System (SEMS) into core business processes.
- Design and implement sustainability awareness programs for employees and stakeholders through physical and e-learning platforms.
- Coordinate and support internal stakeholders in executing sustainability initiatives.
- Develop and apply tools and frameworks to assess, evaluate, and monitor the effectiveness of sustainability initiatives and programs.
- Conduct research on emerging environmental and sustainability issues, stakeholder concerns, and trends, and provide advisory support to the business.
- Prepare communication plans and materials for sustainability initiatives in line with international best practices, including campaigns for key stakeholders.
- Manage sustainability reporting, ensuring accurate data capture and maintenance of knowledge systems.
- Implement and manage the Bank’s sustainability database and knowledge management systems.
- Review sustainability program objectives, progress, and outcomes to ensure compliance with applicable policies, standards, regulations, and laws.
- Identify and develop strategic partnerships and green pilot projects that enhance the Bank’s sustainability positioning.
Daily Responsibilities
- Organise and coordinate sustainability training and capacity-building programs for business and non-business teams.
- Support implementation of sustainability initiatives, including data collection, review, and communication to relevant stakeholders.
- Monitor, assess, and report on sustainability initiatives and performance.
- Facilitate internal and external stakeholder engagement on sustainability matters, including coordination of sustainability working group activities.
- Conduct sustainability and environmental risk assessments and prepare reports as requested by stakeholders.
