DSM Corridor Group (DCG) is seeking for a skilled and proactive Terminal Electrical Supervisor to oversee all electrical systems and maintenance activities within our terminal operations. The successful candidate will ensure the reliability, safety, and efficiency of electrical installations, supporting uninterrupted operations in a fast-paced environment.
The Candidate Duties and responsibilities (includes but not limited to):
1. Manage and assure that all maintenance activities cost and expenses or major purchases are according to planned budget and operational cost, seeing to it that there is no unplanned purchases and cost.
2. Manage, plan and ensure proper maintenance and proactive scheduling of all industrial machinery and equipment, all electrical and electronic equipment.
3. Oversees and executes all SCADA-related operations, including system monitoring, control, troubleshooting, and optimization to maintain continuous and efficient operations
4. Report to the Technical Manager all issues and bottlenecks detected in day-to-day activities, all matters involving industrial machinery and equipment performance.
5. Ensures all electrical installations done by team members are standard and according to Tanzanian Regulations.
6. Oversee and schedule machinery and equipment inspection, maintenance, and servicing to minimize downtime, actively maintaining all information and inspection records.
7. Establishes and maintains safety programs for assigned staff, implements related action plans. Responds to and investigate work related injury and/or illness.
8. Setting a high standard and creating a culture of willingness to perform with the ultimate outcome of minimizing the equipment downtime.
9. Coordinate with the Fleet Division to understand and track the daily fleet movement plan.
10. Assures that cleaning of all machinery and equipment are performed and conducted daily and timely, ensuring that every start of shifts all machinery and equipment are ready and functioning to its fullest.
11. Monitor trends and repairs of machines and all electrical equipment’s to identify root causes and provide alternatives.
12. Identification of personnel who require training and assisting with in house training as required.
13. Ensure and collaborate with the IMS (ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018) is implemented actively: SOP’s, process flows and related documents are up to date and adhered to by the staff.
14. Ensure Quality of Work, Efficiency and Attendance of all staff.
Qualifications & Experience:
1. Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
2. Proven Experience in electrical supervision, preferably in terminal, industrial, or logistics environments.
3. SCADA system operation and maintenance
4. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, Electrical troubleshooting Control system integration, and safety standards
5. Leadership and team management skills.
6. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
7. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and reporting tools.
8. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
9. Good command of English and Swahili, both written and spoken.
10. Strong analytical, monitoring, and reporting skills.
11. Familiarity with maintenance management systems is an added advantage.
