The Transfer Driver plays a crucial role in delivering a smooth, safe, and professional travel experience for guests from the moment they arrive until their departure.
Position Overview
The Transfer Driver serves as the first point of contact for guests, ensuring professional transport services and excellent hospitality. The role involves coordinating guest transfers, preparing vehicles, and maintaining high service standards.
Key Responsibilities
Logistics and Planning
- Collect transfer details and guest itineraries from the Operations Department.
- Attend operational briefings and updates before assignments.
Vehicle Preparation
- Ensure the vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and ready for guests.
- Stock the vehicle with required amenities such as:
- Face towels
- Bottled water
- Internet/Wi-Fi
- Torch
Guest Arrival and Departure Services
- Confirm correct pick-up locations (airports or airstrips).
- Verify the number of arriving or departing passengers.
- Display clear and accurate name boards when receiving guests.
Guest Interaction and Hospitality
- Welcome guests professionally and assist with initial travel arrangements.
- Hand over gifts or letters provided by the company.
- Brief guests about their next transfer or pick-up schedules.
- Report any guest requests or lost luggage to the operations team.
Administrative Duties
- Ensure imprests are properly managed and returned on time.
- Maintain proper documentation related to transfers.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Certifications
- Must have completed a driving course from the National Institute of Transport (NIT).
- Must possess a PSV (Public Service Vehicle) Certificate.
Driving License
- Valid PSV driving license.
Work Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience driving PSV vehicles.
Education
- Minimum Form Four (O-Level) Certificate.
Age and Location
- Applicants should be 30–40 years old.
- Must be based in or highly familiar with Arusha.
Professional Qualities
- Presentable appearance consistent with Asilia Africa’s brand standards.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
Additional Advantage
- Previous experience or knowledge of the tourism and hospitality industry.
